Photographing Marrakech was such a delight. Surrounded by such gorgeous, rich colours there’s definitely no shortage of golden photo opportunities. Welcome to part 1 of my photo journey.

A traditional Moroccan pastry dish – pigeon pie with ras el hanout (Moroccan spice mix), topped with powdered sugar and cinnamon. It’s such an unusual, delicious combination of flavours!

Another must-see in the medina is Medersa Ben Youssef – a 14th century Islamic school attached to the Ben Youssef Mosque. The beautiful artwork and architecture is mesmerising.

More attractive decorations in the bustling souk, a place that guaranteed you will get lost in many times! But bursting with energy, life and impressive artisans, you won’t mind a bit.
